behold: the finale

Throughout the whole year, thick and thin, wet and dry, good and bad, hard and easy, if I have learned one thing, it would be how to write a good gosh darn blog. From Great Expectations all the way back to them Importance of Being Ernest days I've been bloggin'. The meaning of all these blogs I believe would be to show a students comprehension to the lessons being taught in class, whether it be poetry, rhyme scheme, themes, or anything along those lines, the blog always ends up refering to one of those things to show the students comprehension towards them. the significance of this whole blog deal, I think, would be to practice the lessons learned in class and to have an idea of what to expect in the future. One thing I think that was really good about blogs was the fact that they were completely different from all the other homework that i received in not only English but any other classes as well. With the blog we at home on the computer doing homework. One thing that could have been improved was NOTHING!!! BLOGS ARE AWESOME!!! With out these wonderful blogs, learning in english may have been much slower and compreension of the lessons may have not been fully developed leaving the year unfinished. An example of the enhancement of a students learning could be myself and the essayist blog. There, I show how I've learned the proper techniques for writing a flawless essay and it turns out, after practicingg and really learing the deep meaning and skill of essay writing, I was able to reel in a nice fat juicy A on my essay really showing how practice makes perfect. Another example of how the bolgs enhanced the comprehension to lesson in class was when the blog was about Great Expectations and things we didn't understand. With that blog, students were able to share ideas on tricky reading sections in the novel and overall come to an understandment and get a further comprehension of the book. Another example of a blog that really played a part in the class work that we did was the skit blog. In that blog, we were able to all brainstorm on different ideas leading to the final choices of what skits were to be acted out. In the end of that section, Kasey, Sam and I were able to come up with a great skit that ended up getting us the teachers award for the most original and well written script. One more example of a really really great blog idea was the blog about the team essays. This allowed the groups to collaborate and share ideas of what they were doing on their part for the essay. A final example of great blog ideas was the poem critique. This was a good blog because it was variety from most of the other ones and good practice for the Poetry Outloud competition. This really helped on poise during the competition leading me to get 5th place, and just like Shakespeare said, "Be great in act, just like you have been in thought."-William Shakespeare
